Factory defect was quickly resolved

We have only been using it for 3 weeks but do like the controls and options. One negative issue was that the cold water valve leaked from the beginning. However I called the LG customer service line and received good help to check out the washer and ultimately to schedule a service tech to come replace the valve. That resolved the issue and I hope to have many years of clean clothes.

Great Washer Customer Service Outstanding

I needed a new washer as my old one was 30 years old and stopped working. I spent hours scouring the internet and reading reviews. I stumbled across this one on consumer reports. I have a 12 year old LG LED TV and its still going strong so I know LG makes quality products. When I installed the washer it was super quiet until the spin and rinse cycle. It was shaking quite a bit more than my old one and making a machine gun like noise. I reached out to customer service and within a week had a technician come out to my place. He was super friendly and knowledgeable and said the new washers spin at a higher rate so the clothes dry faster. He also found that my cords and drain line were hitting the back wall causing the machine gun like noise. He adjusted the cords and drain line and after that I didnt hear any noise. Im glad the shaking is normal. When I throw my laundry in the dryer it takes half the time to dry them since the washer has a higher spin cycle. So to sum it up washer is great and cleans my clothes plus they dry a lot faster now too Highly recommend this washer

Not Like My First LG Washer

I had an LG for 11 years The lid lock finally failed and the LG repairman couldnt fix it with new parts. So I began looking for a machine that could be delivered within a day. Hence the LG WT7000CW It is noisy takes a long time per load and the items washed dont smell fresh. I have had the machine four days and had about 8 loads of laundry to do since the first LG failed. As others have said if you use Normal the water doesnt cover the load. So I use extra water - which is not recommended in southern California. I am sorry I rushed into this purchase.

I bought this a couple years ago at lowes. The clothes never come out clean no matter how much or how little of detergent you use. If I could return this I would but of course its way past that time. After work my clothes are very dirty and this machine does not clean my clothes well.

Uses no water clothes come out smelling dirty

My husband and I bought this washing machine about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was very excited for a brand new washer with a large drum and no agitator as sometimes delicate clothing sheets and blankets can get wrapped up around one and ruined. However the energy efficient washer that this claims to be does not live up to its name. From what I can gather the washing machine weighs out how many clothes are in the washer no matter what cycle you select and then uses that to determine how much water it will need to wash the clothes. It never uses enough water. I watch the wash as it goes and for half of it there are still dry clothes sitting on the top as the washer cycles. Im very unsatisfied with this washing machine unfortunately I believe it is past the time that I can return it to the store of which I purchased it from. I do not recommend this washer. The last time I did laundry all of the clothes came out smelling like dirty socks. All I did was select the normal cycle with a normal amount of clothes and they came out smelling worse than when they had originally gone in. They say not to use a lot of detergent But man you really do need a ton of detergent if you want your clothes to come out smelling clean. They do have an option for water+ but it adds so much time to the cycle. Ive been doing my loads on bulky because it adds the most water but it could be upwards of two hours a load. Not energy efficient if you ask me .

This has been the worst experience. I bought this machine brand new it died in 5 months of having it and I am a single person using it. I have been without a working washer since 5/22. Customer service has been terrible I have been hung up on twice. I will never again purchase an LG product and I have purchased many over the years.

This Dryer should be avoided

This dryer is a little over a year old. If constantly is stopping when the automatic settings are used. It is constantly giving an error code to clean the filter and turning off when no lint is in the filter. Ive checked the dryer vent from top to bottom. There are no obstructions. I love LG products but am completely disappointed in this dryer

Odd but it works

Used washer and dryer a few times and still baffled by the washer. The impeller technology cleans the clothes but when one watches it its hard to figure how it works. Still mystified on how to override default settings.

When our old washer died we went to a store and were intrigued by the washers with a glass top. I was so fascinated by my first wash that I laid my cellphone on the glass lid and took a long video. I love that it tells you how many minutes the entire cycle will take. And OMG it plays a happy tune when its done. I literally skip to the laundry room when I hear it. Many clothes are coming out of the wash much softer that ever before.

Bought water from Lowes. Delivery drivers told me to run the tub clean cycle before use to get the crud or any particles that may be in it from MFG/Shipping. Ran it and noticed that the water was dark orange. I ran the washer again due to the fact that Ive never seen this before. Put in a few clothes to test washer and it stained clothes several areas. Re-washed clothes and stains seem to be removed from clothes. I took a chance and put in several whites that I had and now those whites are permanently stained a rust orange or dull dingy rust color. Called the MFG to see what the heck was going on and I was told that I had to buy a cleaner that cleanes the washer before use. I didnt find any such instructions in the MFG manual but the MFG insisted it was in the owner manual. I asked them to send me the exact place where it states that and I was ignored. I also asked if LG would send me the cleaning solution and Service stated that LG doesnt do that. Why is LG selling washers that stain your clothes? I ended up returning washer to Lowes and explained to Manager what the issue was. He stated to me that he had never heard of any new washers having to go through these steps just to use it. I re-ordered the same washer and ran the tub clean cycle again and guess what? The water was even a darker orange color than before. I ran the tub clean cycle again and for hours trying to get the color to come out clear. I eventually bought the tub cleaner solution that service recommended and it still was staining my clothes. Eventually after hours of running the tub clean cycle I actually saw that the water was clear and not orange or rust. I bought multiple products with no support from LG. Im still within my time to return the washer and have looked into buying a totally different brand of washer especially if I had to go through all of that trouble just to use a washer. Its ridiculous. I am not looking forward to seeing what my water bill is going to look like when I get the bill. I am not keeping the washer and returning it to Lowes and I will look at a better washer and brand other than LG

I bought this LG washer about a month ago and I am loving it. It is so quiet when it runs and doesnt shake like my old washer. I like the impeller washer because I wash a lot of sheets blankets and towels. So far everything has come out clean and fully washed - though often I choose the deep wash for things like jeans and large loads of shirts. The controls are easy and I love the chime to let you know when a load is finished.

Sheets tend to get twisted. I tried using the bedding setting for just sheets to prevent this from happening but it uses a lot of water and put the machine off balance in the spin. To rebalance itself it automatically did a 2nd rinse to redistribute the laundry in the tub. That wasted a lot of water. I would have preferred a notification that the load iwas unbalanced that would stop the spin and allow me to open the lid to manually redistribute the laundry by hand. You could always redistribute wash with the old machines. If I see that a spin may be unbalanced before it starts I would like to be able to pause the cycle open the lid and redistribute by hand. Additionally with old machine after it extracted the soapy water it would spin out the water and then spray water from the side onto the clothes during the spin to begin a rinse. That water was pulled through the clothes rinsing them off while spinning. The spin would then stop and the tub would fill for the final full rinse. In the past lids did not lock except during the spin. There should be a way to pause the cycle and open the lid before a spin to manually redistribute clothes if you need to.

No complaints works great but washes differently from previous washing machines. Since there is no designated permanent press wash cycle We figured out how to do permanent press by easily adjusting temp and spin levels. We chose the 4.5 cf washer because the bottom of the washer is easily reachable to remove clothes.

Very quiet smooth and I think is of very high quality. My previous washer of another brand was loud shook like crazy and only lasted about four years. Only time will tell how well this one last and does its job but for right now I am very happy with it.

Drum half full it fills up with enough water to wash one bath towel. Machine lies about the time it will take. 5 out of seven loads have leveling errors and stops. This in in a basement. Constant fake washing cycles. Clothes dont get clean Hours or even days to get one half drum load done. Misery. Does LG even have a quality assurance department? Freaking horrific. I am requesting a full refund. Please pick this thing up so I dont have to send you a bill for my personal time gas and the removal of the horrible reviews Im about to start leaving across the web. If no efforts are made before May 10 2023 I will spend one hour per day sharing a copy of this review.

I bought a replacement washer on March 2023 for a LG I bought December 2011 The installers replaced the old washer. The old one was vibrating and making a lot of noise. The new washer gave a IE error. I checked the screens and noticed that the red hot water line was hooked up to the cold on the washer. The blue cold water was hooked up to the hot on the washer. I changed them and removed some grit from the screens. On my old washer I had to clean the screens maybe once a year or two. We moved into our new house in December of last year so with a new well I thought this would fix the problem. It didnt. I called the 800 number in the book and told them the installers had jammed the drain hose about a foot or more down the drain and I thought this was incorrect. She sent me a diagram showing that it should only be a few inches in the drain. It didnt solve the IE error. They sent another installer out and he cut my zip tie and jammed the drain like back down the drain. Still got the error. He said the washer had a glitch and needed to be replaced. A LG technician came out a few days later cut the zip tie again and pulled the hose out and tied it back like I had it fourth zip tie. My old washer had a shorter hose would only fit a few inches in the drain and didnt require a zip tie. He pulled the screens out and there was very little grit. The IE error came back. He took out the red blue screens and took a picture behind them and there was a second set of screens that were clogged with very fine sediment. I didnt even know these screens were there. I never had a problem with the old washer at the house I sold on December 9th or the new house I moved in a few before Christmas. The tech said it could not be cleaned out and he had to replace the part. He replaced it as a courtesy this time but I would have to pay if it happened again. I will not replace the dryer with LG or buy another LG product. The installers and LG should be on the same page about how to install the hose. Why is the hose longer and why make it possible to jam it down further than it should be? The hose sticks above my washer and is ugly that way. Why the secondary screens that clog up and have to be replaced by a technician at a cost to me? I never had these problems with the old washer at the old house or the new one. I told the tech that there was a whole house filter but the builders did not put a cartridge in it. I bought a cartridge for it but when he replaced the part he said I needed a RV filter also. I went to Home Depot and they didnt know what I was talking about. They finally found one I could only order on their website but didnt see why it would be necessary. I received a message from your tech people that says you dont recommend people with wells using your washers. NC is only second to PA in the number of people on a well so that seems to be a ridiculous statement. I was on a well with the old washer at both houses. Everyone where I lived before and everyone where I live now is on a well. I bet they all have a washer.

very quiet

Once I learned how to use it I love it Very quiet but the cycles are longer than my old washer. I think it has to do with energy water efficiency. The one thing I dont like is the detergent drawer. It holds water and will eventually cause mold/mildew. So after a load finishes and I get the clothes out I pull the drawer out and remove the blue part and empty the water and wipe out the drawer. I have only had it for 2 months so no problem with mold yet.
